Alex Warner – Owner/Coach

Alex Warner

Alex has been involved with some form of fitness or sport all of his life. He played basketball and football in High School. He started Crossfit on July 4th 2011 and hasn’t looked back, he obtained his L1 in May of 2014. Alex has competed in several local CrossFit competitions and also qualified for University Nationals in Olympic Weightlifting. Alex is passionate about helping others and truly cares about the athletes he trains.

Brian Jenkins – Owner/Coach

Brian Jenkins

Brian has been involved in sports all of his life.  He played Football and baseball all through high school and went on to play four years of football at Campbellsville University.  Brian has always lifted weights but was blown away by the lack of endurance and cardio he had in his muscle head gym days. He has been involved with CrossFit since 2012. He obtained his L1 in March 2015.   He was instantly hooked after getting a taste of the competitive side of CrossFit and has competed in  several local competitions.  Brian and his wife Nikki have three daughters that are all active in sports and love CrossFit  and the community.   Brian is a very energetic, passionate and enthusiastic Coach!   He loves the Community and all it entails!  He enjoys helping other achieve their goals as well as bettering their overall wellness.

Josh McMahon – Coach

Josh has been involved in sports all of his life. He played basketball and football in high school and played basketball for a year in college at St. Catherine.  He also has a passion for coaching and coached at both J-town and Christian Academy boys basketball.

Josh was introduced to Crossfit in July of 2012 after a friend kept telling him  how much he would love it….he was right, Josh never looked back.  In November of 2013 he got his Level 1 certification and fell in love with teaching and coaching others his passion of CF. Josh is also Crossfit Movement and Mobility certified, as this is something he continues to struggle with. Josh and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Kennedi Reese and Harper Jude.

Rachel Simms – Coach

  • Bachelors of  Science in Health Science
  • CrossFit Level 1

Rachel has been a coach at 44 since 2016, but has been a member of the crossfit community in Mt. Washington since 2012.  She began crossfit the summer before she went off to college in 2012, and picked it back up each summer that followed. In 2014 she decided to get her L-1 Certification and put her knowledge of fitness and health to good use.

She graduated from Georgetown College as a student athlete with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science in 2016, and is currently studying Occupational Therapy at Spalding University.

Phillip Rutledge – Coach

Phillip has always played sports growing up.  He played football, baseball and ran track in high school.  He went on to play football at Western Kentucky University for two years and started CrossFit in early 2011,  Phillip fell in love with not only the individual drive it gave him, but the team and community aspect it brought into his life.  In 2012 he decided to get his Level 1 Certification and in 2013 got his CrossFit Movement and Mobility Certification.  After graduation from Western Ky University in 2013 and once team sports were no longer a part of his life, he turned to the regular gym scene and started lifting with no goals in sight.  CrossFit brought the “team” feeling back and gave him goals o strive for everyday.  Phillip started coaching in early 2012 and in January 2016 introduced Burn classes at 44 CrossFit and has loved every second of it.
